Who is this article for?

- Anyone who owns the Unicorn 2.0 Bundle and want to migrate from Unicorn1 Bundle to Unicorn 2.0 Bundle.

Skill level?

- Intermediate

Time to complete?

- 1 hour +

Before You Begin -  please read carefully below, then move to "options" section

  1. Please always make a backup of your site - the database and the files. You may need the backup to restore your site if you make a mistake or want to revert.
  2. The next task has 2 Steps.
  3. Step 1: You only need to delete AND delete from "BIN" and then re-import the listed library items below. If you don't remove it from the "BIN" divi will keep using them from the bin. You must delete from Bin too.
Step 2: Re-add the modules to the relevant pages AND transfer content like text and images from the old module to the new. See "Best method to add new elements below"

  4. You only need to replace the following Unicorn1 modules with new Unicorn2.0 modules. Remember to delete from library AND from "Bin/Trash". Other modules do not require library file updates.
    - Pricing Tables Divi Layout Kit - All 1 to 4
    - Feature Divi Layout Kit - All 1 to 10
    - Content Divi Layout Kit - All 1 to 14
    - Blogs Divi Layout Kit - All 1 to 6
    - "FAQ Accordion" as used in "Divi Contact Form Kit number  4 of 5".

Quick Tip: Best method to add new elements

  1. Remove all old Unicorn layouts from your site's library. Note: Please do not remove any custom layouts that you created.
IMPORTANT: After deleting old Unicorn layouts please remove everything from your Divi Library Bin. If you don't remove it from the bin - Divi will keep using the old versions from the Bin.
  2. Import the unicorn-bundle-2-0-ALL-modules-LIBRARY-import.json
  3. Open the page where you want to add an element.
  4. Add new element from the library right after the same old element.
  5. Copy the content from the old element to the new one.
  6. Save the page.
  7. Make sure the new element looks ok
  8. Remove the old element from the page and save the page again.
